God created the sun,
but with the sun came heat.
So God created the seas,
but with the seas came wind.
So God created the caves,
but with the caves came darkness.
So God created the light
but with the light came bugs.
So God created bats,
but with the bats came disease.
So God created the doctors,
but with the doctors came pride.
So God created the poverty,
but with the poverty came hunger.
So God created love,
and with the love came mothers.

Awwww Claire. This was so sweet. Just delightful. Unfortunately, it was way under the minimum word count allowed for the Challenge, so had to be disqualified. Don't feel bad about the mistake though - there are always a few who miss the rule about word count in the Challenge Guidelines each week. Your little poem came in at just 85 words, so was well under the minimum. The word count limits are 150 minimum and 750 maximum. If you do want to submit a poem that's under the word count, you could just add an introductory or closing paragraph to boost it up a bit. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
