Be sure you are on the right track.
Don’t get involved in a questionable joy.
Choose holiness. Knock other things back!
O Overdo what is required of you.
Be sure no stone is left unturned
To achieve the task that is presented to you.
You are a servant and your bridges are burned!
N No lie is ever to touch your lips.
Every promise you have made is fulfilled.
Your reputation is your weapon in hand,
Sharp and clean, and your speech is skilled.
F Fight on the battlefront, un-numbered foes
Will flounder at the truth you speak.
Your armour is oiled – and it fits you well!
Freedom is the mountaintop we seek.
I “I” is subverted because “I” implodes.
It’s just like the rust upon the grain.
It makes it all mouldy and you can’t use that!
So bin it out. Don’t get it out again!
D is the Daniel who won’t be stopped at prayer.
They could threaten him whatever way they liked.
There he stood each morning, at mid-day and at night,
And the lions could not touch him. They were “psyched.”
E “Ever” is outside of everything that touches earth.
And “Eternity”‘s what God put in our hearts
The day He made us. That is where we really have our Life.
Only feet need washing down here in these parts.
N Never, never, never touch the glory of the Lord,
Never use His name for personal reward,
Nor plagiarise His wisdom, but give honour where it’s due.
So in honour, as His child, you’ll be adored.
T Truth to tell, if you know the Word,
And, in Spirit and in Truth you worship God,
They’ll probably call you smug ’cause they don’t know why you’re so sure.
But you’ll be confident, just gently confident,
So quietly confident, but boldly confident,
Their arrows can’t touch you,
Their comments cannot wound,
You’re able to stand your ground.
No weakness can be found.
Your work is just the best.
Your life is full of zest.
But what they didn’t know
Is that you just don’t show!
You’re actually very dead.
Your body’s Spirit fed.
It’s Jesus they can see!
