Remember the autumns of your childhood. Remember the leaves of time falling in abundance and know that nature is God's show on Earth and that He's in the essence of our immediate natural surroundings. Praise Him for all He's worth which surpasses all understanding.
And greet your friendly neighbourhood fire-fighter with a fiery smile and hearty gratitude for his great service and protection of all of the natural resources which we enjoy and, hopefully, cherish in our own particular ways.
Fire-fighting at Thanksgiving? Why not?
And Happy Thanksgiving, happy harvesting, and all of God's most bounteous blessings to you this fall!(We're especially blessed as we imagine how we can enjoy nature's beauty and go out and savour all that autumn has to offer. Let's be thankful for all that God provides and for His gifts so lovingly displayed in our great outdoors! Don't be afraid to adventure into the heart of the wilderness but take courage and thrive there!)

I really liked this line: "Remember the autumns of your childhood. Remember the leaves of time falling in abundance". I could see the autumns of my childhood, fallen away. Great thoughts on being thankful for nature, and firefighters!
