TITLE: A day in the garden of God | Previous Challenge Entry

I walked across the street to eat my lunch under the cool shade of 100 yr old oak. It was only a bologna sandwich and chips but it tasted great as always. After eating, I closed my eyes there on the park bench to pray.
Scenes of a beautiful garden appeared behind my closed eyelids and there standing to my left was Jesus. He was smiling as usual so I knew I wasn't in any trouble from "messing up." He knew that thought had just crossed my mind and began to laugh. God's laugh is contagious I want you to know and I burst out laughing with Him.
He looked at me with such love and said, "C'mon knucklehead, take a walk with me, we need to talk." He calls me knucklehead because I can be such a brat sometimes. The garden path we were on had so many different and vibrant colored florals it took my breath. Jesus looked at me and said, "pretty cool huh?" I could only nod and give out a sigh of, "O' my yes Lord."
We came to a large open feild and Christ placed himslef on a stool made of rock. There He spoke of all the things He loved about me. He also spoke of the times I had let Him down and failed Him. He mostly spoke of the joy I had brought Him by helping others with encouragement, laughter and finances.
All of the sudden He began to roar with laughter, deep belly laughs and I said, "What Lord, what's so funny?" He said, "remember the time you were asked to preach, and had this wonderful sermon memorized? Then when you got up to speak you were so nervous you started stuttering and your mind went totally blank?"
I cracked up laughing and said, "yup, thought I was really something in those days huh? I felt like the biggest dummy that ever graced a pulpit."
We started rolling in the grass with laughter. It was hilarious and we laugh till we cried.
When we had finished, Jesus composed himself and took on a sweet but loving demure. He looked deep into my eyes as if peircing my soul and with great dignity said this, "Son, someday you will stand before Kings and speak striking words of great grace. Many shall be saved, and some will not hear you, but I will speak through you and you shall bring Me honor. Do you beleive this?"
With tears of joy to be of service to my Master I nodded YES.
Jesus stood, hugged me, and kissed me on my forehead, then as He turned to leave, he said, "We'll talk again soon knucklehead, I love ya!"
I came out of my prayer of vision, and suddenly the day had a new kind of brightness to it. It's always that way when you spend even a few moments with the Lord.
I look forward to each and everytime I meet with Jesus, but that was a special day in the Garden of God.
