GREAT IS HE!

And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good . . .Gen. 1:31 KJV

God is great, the creator of all things. Looking upon all creation He ordained it to be good. Designing His creation to be absolute, without blemish, all complete, our Heavenly Father made man after His likeness. Man was made to glorify the One and only true God of the universe. Man’s sin did not make God less magnificent. Father God loves each of his creation so much that the way of salvation is given to each who will believe in His Son, Christ Jesus.

Righteousness was God’s intention for man. Our command is to be holy and righteous as He is. To be in right standing with Him was the perfect plan for each soul to glorify, honor, and obey Him. He also put within each the free spirit, to choose the righteous way or the unrighteous way. The Almighty did not fail man. We fail Him with our choices of disobedience. The judgment will separate the righteous from the wicked for all eternity. All will stand before Him on the great white throne of judgment. There will be no turning back. The time is final. Our Great God doesn’t make the decision of our choice we make it for ourselves. He is a just God who will reward or punish each of us for the way we have chosen.

Eternity will be spent with the Almighty for all those who believe and obey His commandments. A personal relationship with Jesus is the requirement. His name is above every name. Saints will have habitation with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There will be a marriage feast in the holy city between the Lamb and his bride- the church. No more sorrow, no tears, no more death, or pain will be there. All things will be made new. What a day that will be! For unbelievers there will be an eternity of everlasting separation from God, with no turning back. All will be punished and thrown into the fire with their god, Satan himself. What a choice. We make that for ourselves. HEAVEN OR HELL?

Awesome is our God. Mighty in power, splendor, and miraculous is He. Every knee will bow to Him. Every king, every saint, every unbeliever, and every demon- every thing in the earth and under the earth will fall upon their knees before the Lord. Believers do not have to wait until the Lords return to have life and have it more abundantly. Jesus promised when He ascended to be with the Father that He would not leave us as orphans, rather he would send us a helper in the glorious Holy Spirit. We were told by Jesus, that greater works would we do than He did while on this earth. The Holy Spirit stands beside us to guide, protect, comfort, and strengthen each of us who calls upon the name of the Lord. He baptizes, indwells, seals, and fills the believer. How Awesome!

Tirelessly God waits for all of His children to earnestly, and diligently seek Him. His love is unfathomable and incomprehensible. Being a jealous God, his people are commanded to place Him first, with no other god before Him. To many times the lust of the flesh, eye, and boastful pride are more important, and we give more time to them than to our loving, patient Father. Faithfully and untiringly our God holds His hand out for us to come, placing all sin upon the altar for forgiveness. GREAT is His faithfulness. The rewards will be indescribable forever and ever. We will rejoice forevermore.

You've got many excellent points in this piece. With more prayer and polishing it would be an extremely good exhortation and devotional piece. Keep up the good work. You express the Father's heart to the tee!

This is a wonderful morning devotional...it's possible that you'll get more readers and more comments if you add personal touches to your writing--tell us how God's greatness has been demonstrated to you with an anecdote.
