Thank You Lord for Jeremy and Sue. I think it was so courageous of them to go to the Ivory Coast, especially with little Matt and Dinah being so young. We’ve been praying together for so long that You would open a mission field for us, and now Lord they are out there working in the new church. Thank you Lord for getting them a good price for their house, they were able to buy all that they needed with the money. They even had some left over to help Sue’s dad settle in to his new warden-assisted bungalow. Matt and Dinah love playing on the beech, and they have made some new friends. Philip was all for going with them, Lord, but my little Maisy doesn’t take to change all that well, and mum certainly isn’t getting any younger for us to be going off half way round the world. I know Lord that You will find just the right couple to go out and join Jeremy and Sue, in Your time.
Thank You Lord that You opened up the opportunity for our church to go into the school to take assembly. I really saw it as an answer to prayer when the new headmaster asked Philip if he knew of anyone willing to go and talk to the children. It’s something I would love to do myself Lord, especially as I used to be a teacher, but Friday isn’t a good day what with preparing for the weekend and doing the shopping. It’s also the day Maisy has mum’s and tot’s, but I know Lord that You will find the right person to do this new outreach in Your time.
Thank you Lord that You laid it upon my heart to pray for the young woman who moved into the house down the street. I had the opportunity to talk with her only yesterday. She’s a lovely woman, Lord, but she is so tired and not really able to cope that well on her own. I didn’t like to ask what had happened to her husband, but apparently he had been ill for a quite a little while before he died. She was saying that she will have to go out to work now. Her little girl is only two-and-a-half, just the same age as my Maisy, and organizing child-care is proving to be a nightmare. I would offer to help Lord, but Maisy can be such a handful. It’s the terrible-twos. I’m hoping she will be better when she starts mixing with children of her own age. I know Lord that You will find the right person to help Mrs Danvers in Your time.
Actually Lord, I can hear Maisy now. Nap time is over. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayers. As I said before, Lord I am willing. Wherever You lead I will follow. Whatever You ask I will do.
Amen.
Alright Maisy. Mummy’s coming.
