She has talked to many psychologist's who have attempted to sort out why this life is not good enough for her. She now sits heavily medicated in a mental health ward. So far everything she hoped would bring happiness in this life has failed her.
There are only two kinds of hope in this life. We can hope to find meaning and contentment in the world and it's system or we can place our hope in Christ and His way of life. Those who hope to find happiness in the world will always be searching for something or someone to make them happy. They will divorce, drink, party, try drugs, overeat, and try many different sexual partners just to satisfy their hopeless quest to find peace and happiness.
Satan dangles the pleasures of this world before us and many are drawn into his trap like a rat drawn to cheese. What the rat thought would bring happiness and contentment only brought sufferring and death. Sin always has conseqences.
The greatest need in the world today is the understanding that our hope for happiness does not come from the things in this world but from Christ. There is no hope outside of Christ. When it comes right down to it there are only two kinds of hope. We can hope to find happiness in the world or we can place our hope in Christ. The directions have been given to us in His word. If we follow the world we will always be wrong. If we follow Christ we will always be right. We can either give Satan and the world our hope and dreams or we can give them to Jesus.
In the end only Jesus will make all our dreams come true. Our only hope is in our relationship with the Lord. "Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him. Psalms 32

Loved this line:
"The greatest need in the world today is the understanding that our hope for happiness does not come from the things in this world but from Christ." So true.
