My dearest friend, Jesus
Greetings to you on this lovely day! Do you remember the day you asked me this question and wanted an honest answer? You said, “ My dear, where is your life compared to with where I want it to be? ” I remembered as of that day I gave no answers to you, not because I do not want to, but because I do not have any. My life was sad, messed up and filled with confusions then, but you were there every time I needed a friend. I thank you for always being there for me. I thought if I grow older, surely I would have some answers to your question, my friend. Any, if I can prove how wise I have become over the years. Today, I realized I needed more years to give you a decent answer.
Now, back to a pertinent point. We are entering the sixth Lenten day. I am rather ashamed to admit I’m already struggling with fasting, praying and keeping the seven sins at bay. I am very weak, my friend. I am so easily drawn into temptations to sin. Will you help me to enter into repentance? Will you aid me for the next thirty-four Lenten days? I must keep my faith. My hope is high. My spirit is strong, but my body, weak. Hear my cry, my pleas and prayer to you.
My dearest friend, I am really not worthy to stand before you. Come and search me and heal me of offensive ways. Release me to respond to your call. I want to be an instrument of healing so that I may bring your grace to others. Do intercede for me to our heavenly Father, may my religious practices not be an empty show, but lead me to greater love for you and others. Make my prayers, fasting and entrance into repentance fruitful this Lent. AMEN.
Thanks for listening, dearest friend. I’ll see you later tonight for a progress update. Peace and love
Always,
Your lil’ maya ;)
