between right and wrong
how much longer
does this have to go on.
Please help me I think
my will is too grand
Lord be patient
without you I can’t stand.
Please help me I long
for a time and place
that doesn’t exist
within God’s embrace.
Please help me I covet
another life for myself
wanting yours to mine
put my heart on a shelf.
Please help me in suffering
Life handed me pain
by choosing your path
I only have gain.
Please help me remember
You promised me hope
to last thru my trials
with You I can cope.
Please help me have joy
it’s then do I see
that all of this life
is not about me.
Helping me see
it’s all about You
test me each day
if this love is true.
And with these tests
I hope to find
I will need less help-
Love being refined.
