I always remember the story my mother told me. She and her best friend was going to Tallahassee to rescue her bestfriends'daughter from a distressful situation. On the road to Tallahassee, the car broke down. Both women were out money. No one was stopping along the side of the road to help them. My mother said, she began to pray for help.
She said, God gave her specific instructions to her, "Not look at his appearance."
She said she didn't think anymore about it. A man came along moments later. He was driving an old beat up van. Sputtering and full of smoke, as he pulled on the side of the road to offer assistance. His appearance to her friend, was apalling, and her first reaction was to fear. The man was dirty, his clothes were haggard, and torn. He looked more of a person in need, than a person who can help a need. My mother said, she remember God's Word about his appearance.
The man ended up fixing their car, and paying for the parts of the car which had caused them to become stranded in the first place.
My mother said, she always believed it was an angel. She always tell people, you have to trust God. Sometimes we are placed in adversed situations to see how we respond to people. Those who God loves. Sometimes we miss out on blessings because of the way we respond the people of God.
