Or a house upon a road
Where I live and will probably die
Another's eventual abode
More than just the squeals of laughter
Of children frantic at play
The hopes and dreams of their young lives
Shaped and molded like clay
More than the aroma's and treats
Wafting from the kitchen
Where my friends and family gather
To embrace the moments enrichment
A front porch where evening settles
To wish upon the stars
A lifetime of blurry weekends
Doing battle with my yard
A sanctuary where I hide
To rest and tame my thoughts
Where time is captured in photographs
And hang upon my walls
It is more than all these things
This house built so well
It is the peace, the presence and the love of God
My Home in which He dwells
