Trumpets sounded. Not the way they did in the Christmas songs. They sounded mystically clear, and each note fell into place as if it were written and arranged just for that very moment.
The most amazing melody of voices began. Each word melted into my ear. The beauty of the harmony was beyond reason. Instantly, I was aware I did not carry around envy. I felt complete and pure. In fact, all my sins were no longer in existence. As I approached the brightness, I realized I wasn’t exactly walking. I was no longer physical. Strangely, it was more natural than my tired body. It wasn’t even a second thought. I was approaching. The excitement and elation were beyond any dream or hope I could muster. The joy I felt was growing and passed any joy I had experienced. Even the births of my own children seemed dim in comparison. The closer I became my focus magnified and nothing else mattered. Hope fulfilled. Time ceased. Peace fell over me like a warm blanket. Tears of joy emerged and I could not speak. Words would not form. I couldn’t get there fast enough. My arms opened and I fell into His. He pulled me in and I was Home. Still holding me, He spoke, “My sweet darling, I have everything ready for you. Welcome Home.”
