Counting on your fingers, may be
The first calculator we see.
After a while the abacus
With sliding counters could help us.

The counting house in nursery rhyme
Was actually used at one time.
On a checkered cloth markers were moved.
Calculations were thus construed.

Analog computers of ancient use
To astrologers gave some clues.
Napier's Bones, this invention
Simplified multiplication,
Division, more simple, also.
The slide rule soon we came to know.

For the 1890 census
Use of the key punch was a plus.
Punch cards were used in WWI.
IBM supplied every one.

Digital computers were large
As of the scene they now took charge.
Colossus would fill a whole room.
WWII data it could zoom,.

ENIAC weighed 30 ton.
So on and on improvement won.
Now computers can be held in your hand.
What you ask, it will understand.
Technology so far has come.
Some of us may feel quite dumb.

There is another wisdom source.
It is the Lord our God, of course,
He is omniscient you see.
Creator, sustainer, majesty.

All that we have and all we know
Comes by the mercy He doth show.
He knew each of us before birth,
Every person born on earth.

He loves every one of us.
Such knowledge is so marvelous.
He sent His Son to save us all
If we believe and on Him call.

Such mercy we cannot compute.
But it's truth we dare not refute.
