"At your house, I must stay"
This was what Jesus said
Peace and joy he surely enjoyed
Thousands of them thronged Jesus
the hungry He hosted
with small fish and little bread
shared by a glad lad
Wept for Lazarus did He not
whose body cold and rotted
At last Lazarus He resurrected
Invite Jesus to the wake
Invite Jesus to the sick
before the doctor's trip
See how He cured the fever
Of Simon's Mother-in-law
Invite Jesus to your wedding
No need to wait for wine run out
He enjoys and blesses
your marriage without a fuss
Invite Jesus to your party
Let Him grace while you jubilate
He is no wet blanket
Lift up and hold you tight
When temptations strike
Get Jesus on your side
An escape He'll provide
Them He triumphed over
At the last meal
Jesus wined and dined
with twelve close Friends
with them He even sang
Purple robe, thorny crown
Nail-pierced hands
a dying thief He'd befriend
How amazing love undying
The Church Jesus truly loves
beyond all measure His grace
In a community we live
With God in holy trinity
God the Father, Jesus the Son
and the Holy Spirit
are one social group
They love one another

The author of poems does not have to have a pattern of rhyming words or of a repeating meter.
I liked the single thought in each group of lines.
