If you want to eat, you should work,
Responsibilities don’t shirk.
One who is lazy commits sin,
Will never God’s approval win.
Work so you’ll be approved by God.
Do not be careless or slipshod.
The farmer will plow and then plant,
Trusting a harvest God will grant.
Remembering the Sabbath we’re told,
Was important in days of old.
Jesus said to do good is fine.
Helping is never out of line.
God wants us to have proper rest,
To take time out when we are stressed.
He told Martha to take a break,
Stop and listen, for Goodness sake.
God wants us to spend time with Him.
He will fill our cup to the brim.
It may be the list we have made,
We will change once we have prayed.
For each of us God has a plan.
What we want, it is better than.
We may fail to do all we could,
Or at least all we think we should.
In spite of that, God loves us still,
And promises He always will.
We need to listen for His voice
Then we’ll know what is the right choice.

The though moved away from sloth but could be brought back in the last line or two.
I like reading it. It read smoothly.
Yet rest does not imply being idle. And yes, heeding God's voice is the cure for slothfulness, keeping us vibrant and healthy in body, mind and spirit.
Your take on the topic is definitely creative. I look forward to reading your next entry as well. Blessings!
