We all get busy in life every day and there is always something keeping us quite occupied and preoccupied. Life is full of pressure in all its facets, which tends to affect us spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, and even physically.
Some situations render some of us on a struggle mode. We strive to do things on our own, expect to see results from our own personal efforts, and when satisfaction is not met, there comes stress, depression, frustration, anxiety and even fear. We go on striving day in day out, time and time again, but Jesus is calling us to be at rest in His presence. If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. (Matt 11:28 CEV)
We are always on the fast lane, trying to keep up with others’ performances and successes, and struggling to do things for God here and there. But, is that what we have been called for? To struggle with performance rather than absolute dependence on God.
Let’s abide in the saviour; depend on Him completely. Just like a baby wrapped in the arms of his loving Mom, she expects nothing from him, knowing that there is absolutely nothing he can do on his own; and the only labour he needs to do is just trust her. This is how we should be with God; abide in Him through Faith in Christ.
The tendency of struggling in order to get results is a manifestation of pride, consciously or unconsciously; it might not always be an issue on performance or activities, even anxiety is a form of struggle. When we are anxious, we struggle; we think and rethink, we try to figure out how we could solve one situation or another, which we definitely can’t on our own. We relentlessly ponder how our bills (gas, electricity, house rents, school fees, water bills etc.) will be paid; we are anxious about results in school and work; anxious about getting married, having children and giving them the best life possible; anxious about so many things which come to steal our joy and prevent us from enjoying the fulfilled life our Saviour has reserved for us: “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10b ESV)
Every blessing we get is by the Grace of God, beginning from salvation. Let’s take off those heavy loads and charges which bent our back and keep us uneasy; let’s cast all of our burdens to the Lord who cares and He shall sustain us, for we are His and He is ours.

One keep point that can be used in these thoughts is that God has made us the way he wants us and he gives us gifts, talents and interests. These are to be used to his glory and when we have used what he has given us for his glory, we are successful. We have no room for pride because we only used his tools to accomplish a task.
