With joy do you face each new day,
Or do you feel the other way?
An endless list of things to do,
You know you never will get through?
The end of the tunnel is far.
Many complications there are.
Is there any light to be seen?
How much trouble is in between?
Did Noah think the rain wouldn’t stop?
He landed on a mountain top.
Joseph had troubles, quite a lot.
Did his faith falter? It did not.
Maybe Moses felt this way too,
Treading daily the desert through.
As Daniel faced the lion’s den,
Did he see light before him then?
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego,
They saw entirely too much glow.
Still true to God they firmly stood.
They would not bow, twas understood.
Faith in God saw these heroes through.
At the tunnel’s end light they knew.
The same is true for us today,
No matter what others may say.
Heaven’s light we look forward to.
All our trials, God will see us through
