I know you’re with me but I can’t feel you.
I miss your presence, your joy and your peace,
Your easy company, my fears relieved.
Right now I worry about every small thing,
All my little mole hills have become mountains.
I know in my heart that you’re mighty to save,
You promise to hold me and give me your strength.
So why do I feel like I’m crumbling and failing?
Where is your strength Lord?
Why am I flailing?
‘Help me Lord’, I cry to you.
I don’t know how to see breakthrough,
From this dry place I’m living in,
My soul is tired, my eyes are dim.
I reach for you but my hand is limp.
I need your help so desperately.
But as I focus on your face,
Your light and life, they fill this place.
You lovingly come and take my hand,
And show me you were always there.
Although I felt you weren’t with me,
You show me all I couldn’t see.
The way you placed help by my side,
And shortened my pain so I’d survive.
I didn’t see you at the time, I searched for you but felt alone,
But from your side I finally know,
You never, ever let me go.
When I despaired you knew my fears,
You felt them with me, cried all my tears.
But now please help me let them go,
Give it all to you and feel you flow,
Into the holes within my heart
that you’ve released from the growing dark.
Your freedom comes at quite a price,
Reliving pains, despair and strife.
But it’s a price I’d gladly pay
For you to take my burdens away.
I lift my head, I see it now,
I’m nearly there, you’re walking me out,
Of this hard place of facing truths,
To something fresh and something new.

God bless~
He sent us Jesus so we could see. When we see Jesus as Lord and Christ (God with us) we will want to obey his commands. He calls us to believe who he is and turn away from our sin and be baptized so our sin can be forgiven. When we do we will receive God's Holy Spirit as a gift. This is an assurance to us that we are a child of God. Now we know where we are and where we are going. We have put our trust and faith in God by obeying his command. Now we are on our way growing in the likeness of Jesus.
Let every one who reads your poem be encouraged to find peace and forgiveness of sin by coming to God in obedience.
Powerful feelings in your poem.
