Topic: Making Ends Meet (01/16/14)
A smile came over my face as I watched my 4 year old grandson playing with his blocks we got him that Christmas. I felt and saw the frustration in his face as he tried so hard to make the ends fit together to form a circle. I gently went over and replaced the pieces he was using with the right ones. "Thank you mamaw" he said as a smile lit up his whole face. Then he quickly moved to something else as children always do.

I couldn't quite move on so easily. I thought, how many of us spend days and weeks trying to make the ends meet, when the pieces don't fit?

In life their are many things we want to do and accomplish, we just don't have the right pieces to make it work. Maybe we should spend more time in prayer asking for the things we need in our life to make it complete.

I like the brevity and the challenge to examine our own frustrations when the pieces don't fit. Nice mini-devotional.

A simple picture - in this case of a boy playing with blocks - can make quite an impact. I like the way you used it to illustrate your point. Very nice.
