Whether you are young or a little older,
What’s beautiful to some other’s may disagree,
Depending on the heart from which it see’s.
To a child what’s more beautiful then a candy store,
Or Christmas morning, twinkling eyes, presents galore,
Riding a bike for the very first time,
Learning to color inside all the lines.
To some a beautiful woman walking down the street,
Children running, playing hide and seek,
Puppies, kittens, so eager to grow,
A babies smile, can make a cold heart glow.
Natural wonder’s that stir beautiful commotion,
The rising of the sun as it electrifies the ocean,
In it’s turn the setting sun, when darkness is near,
A painter’s pallet, Van Gogh, Monet, none compare.
Yes, these all have their place on the scale of one to ten,
What’s beautiful to the Lord though is unlike that of men,
God beholds beauty in things we can not see,
Our finite sight can never perceive.
God sees beauty in the great unknown,
Seeking hearts, for His seed to be sown,
How beautiful are the feet of those that preach,
The gospel of peace for a lost world to reach.
