Topic: Expire (08/01/13)
Jesus was the example that was set before us. We look at the way he resisted sin and he was tempted in so many ways. In the wilderness after he was baptized when he resisted all the attempts of the Devil to make him sin. He set us that very true example of" it is written". That is an example that we should not give in to the devil and he would causes to expire. So many of the saints down the ages have expired before their time.

When Jesus hung on the cross the religious people thought he was going to expire for good. What a shock to find this was not the case. They would certainly expire as they went down to their graves. Jesus was resurrected and some of the saints walked out of the grave yards

Sometimes we become weary and lose our way. Then we stop listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. That is when we expire. Then we start to take a different walk which is away from God



When temptations come which they surely will. We need to get a bible out and say, "it is written". We will not expire There is a scripture there to answer every temptation. They are a timeless perfect example.

I like the examples you give in this, especially when you say that when we become weary and stop listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we expire.

I so enjoy the title too: He did not (expire). Nice work!

You write true when you say there is a Bible verse for every temptation.

And just as true there is a verse in the Bible that tells what is sin and what is the way God wants us to walk.

Some say out of reverence the word "Bible" should be capitalizes. What are your thoughts on this?
