By the blessings of God only He can make way.
He glides and lays them with exact proportion
Blessings are boundless need only ask, believe and pray.
Jabez,* the most honorable and faithful of his brothers’ clan
Cried out to the God of Israel … “bless me, bless me, here is what I ask.”
Please give me favor for I brought my mother pain,
Thank you for the blessings of yesterday, for today I must ask again.
Please spread my boundaries for my humble request
That I may extend instruction spanning from east to west?
Let the Holy Spirit emerge from my unwavering lips
Pour out acts of love to arise from within.
Oh Lord, if I may with this one last plea
Shield me with spiritual armor from evil that rises against me.
Jabez, a faithful servant, exemplified Gods grace …
Asked ardently … “bless me, oh, bless me Lord, with your mighty wave.”
Blessings however shapeless, made solely for ones good
How it lightens the moment, or breaks us to do what one should.
Tremendous are they, however the size
Abound mighty wave, abound, and spray us with God’s love tonight.
