The succession of short sharp sounds
In various ways can be found.
A baby’s rattle brings a smile
To us and baby, after while.
To talk rapidly, on and on,
With little sense, makes others yawn.

When a rattlesnake shakes his tail,
We should avoid him without fail.
A train may rattle down the track,
On departure and coming back.
An explosion may cause the sound
Of windows rattling all around.

Slamming the door in such a way
The dishes rattle, seems to say,
That person is rattled today,
Trying their feelings to display.
Being too rattled to think straight
Is not a very happy state.

The Egyptians chariot wheels
Rattled and then fell off, for real.
In the Bible the story’s told
Of Ezekiel, prophet of old.
In a valley filled with dry bones,
He spoke, they rattled, new life shown.

A death rattle’s a somber sound
Bringing sorrow to those around.
When it is time for us to go
It’s essential the Lord we know.
The Alpha and Omega He is
All glory and majesty His.

Nice title. I like how it ties in at the end. You had some great images here, such as the detail of death having its own rattle. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing!

Your poem is one that gave a great description of the variety of things that rattled. It tied in really well with the Alpha and the Omega. Thank you for sharing your talent and thoughts in rhythm. God Bless.

From baby rattle to death rattle was a good way to illustrate your title. I liked that, and the way you covered so many perspectives in between.

Great rhymes in this and I so enjoy the fact that you mentioned so many different ways people can be rattled. Great message at the end too about the Alpha and Omega!
