Imprisoned by the varied parallel philosophies that aim to tame our tender hearts and dupe us into earthly religions, often we miss out on the most important and basic facts about our faith which are to love God and love all others as we love ourselves.
As natural as is breathing in and out, there in lies the simple proof if one needs any that indeed a more sophisticated and omnipotent force exists above and beyond our human understanding.
It is not our place to try and understand it or explain all heaven seeks is for us to choose and reclaim what is rightfully ours: a life time of love, peace and happiness in the glory and by the grace of the almighty one.
Jesus Christ is our escort, guide, driver, vehicle and entry pass to the gates of the Promised Land.
All we have to do is accept him as savior and son of God who was granted to us by God so we can all inherit a place at the King's table in heaven.
That is why each time when we breathe in some fresh air , let us remember also to inhale the love of Jesus Christ into our souls and pray him to stay in our lives come rain come shine.
As we distaste polluted smells that fill the air, let us also distaste the evil spirits and allies of the flesh that lead us into repetitive sinning at the expense of our obedience to God.
There are so many smells that fill the air some being artificially manufactured and others being natural but only ONE which we recognize as fresh air and utilize it for our basic continued existence without which we simply die.
In the same breath let us consciously inhale that precious fragrance of the promise of the eternity sprayed into lives by Jesus Christ and let it fan and fuel our spiritual existence until the day when Jesus rises again and leads us to heaven where we belong.
Let’s not just breathe in and breathe out, let us breathe him in and spread him about.
Amen.
