It was only a quick demonstration, but I wanted to take in all the sights and beauty of the apple orchard, the cool air, the peaceful surroundings, and a presentation on how rope was made. Apparently, you cannot truly appreciate a simple hemp fiber rope without understanding how weak it is when made with a single twist of hemp. The person giving the talk was dressed like a civil war era farmer, made it very clear, how, out of necessity, they would spin a minimum of three strands together to make whatever rope was needed for the task. Rapidly it becomes obvious that tremendous strength is gained from this union of three.
I can find spiritual expression in so many things, and having watched that demonstration, I could easily see the relationship of not only the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but how my life, being in Christ, and enveloped in the Father’s love, becomes stronger because of their investment in me. My mind goes back to that simple demonstration often, especially at times when I am struggling to walk this path I believe we are supposed to on. I will be honest with you. Admitting that I struggle at times comes not so much from a lack of faith, as it does all the other religious inputs that I have had to deal with. I have come to realize that religion has nothing to do with this relationship I have, for it is exactly that, a relationship built on my growing trust in the skill of the rope maker’s hands. I honestly do not believe that I could stand the stresses that life places on us without this growing relationship I have in Christ. Neither do I understand how anyone survives this world without the strength of our triune God.

You may want to break a piece this short into several shorter paragraphs and then double space between them. The only other advice I'd give would be the To be honest with you line isn't really necessary. As a reader, you connected with me right away and I believe you are being honest without you needing to say it.
You have a natural gift with writing a devotion or a testimonial. With just a tad polishing and maybe a prayer at the end, I could easily see this piece in a devotion magazine or book. You did a great job of writing on topic while still delivering the message of how we need Jesus in our life. Sometimes that message can come off as preachy but your felt like it was genuine and full of love.
