The room was quite as if even the whispering could not be heard. The sound that this man could hear was the sound of his heart beating loudly. He could not pathname his name not being in “The Lambs Book of Life!” He began to call out to God right then and there. “God, why have you forsaken me? Why is my name not written in your Book of Life? Haven’t I done well? I thought I was doing everything right! I go to church every week. I read my Bible every day. Isn’t that enough to have my name written in your Book of Life?” The man question God.
The man fell down to his knees in despair. His hands lifted up to the skies as if God was hearing his cries. Then he heard the strangest of all voices coming from nowhere. “John, my dear son, why do you not see that I am God? Why do you not know that I love you? Haven’t I shown you that already? So, why my dear John Richardson II are you still denying my name? Why do you not know that I am all you will ever need?” God said.
“God, is that really you?” John responded.
“Yes, it is I! Do I have your attention now?” God asked.
“Yes God, I am listening. I need to know, why my name is not written in “The Lambs Book of Life?”
“John, your name is not written in my book because you have chosen to deny my name. There have been times you clearly have been given opportunity after opportunity when you were given it. I have knock on your heart’s door many times and I was not allowed in. It is because of this that your name is not written in my book!” God replied.
“Okay God, I get it. What do I need to do so that my name will be written that book?”
“I am so glad you asked me John! I need for you to trust me now. All I need for you to do is to ask! That is all! Do you understand what I have told you?” God replied.
“Ask what, God? What do I need to ask for?”
“Good question. You need to want me in your life. I cannot enter into your heart and into your life without you granting me permission to live within your heart. It is that easy. Nothing more is needed for you to do. Just ask!”
“Okay, I will. Here it goes. God, it’s me John Richardson II and I ask for you to come into my life. I want to take all of the wrong out of my life. I need you to have control over the choices that make. Take me now! Let me live my life for you and you alone. I pray all of these things in your heavenly name! Amen.” John prayed.
“John, congratulations. You will now have your name written in the “Lambs Book of Life!” Go to the entire world and share your good news.” God answered.
Tears began to roll down his face with a clear realization that he was now God’s child!

One concern that I have with your story is that it seems to me that the fact it takes place in a library is merely incidental to the story. It could equally well have been set in a church or even in a coffee house. Do keep a close eye on the topic to make sure you stay bang on theme.
Bless you and keep on writing. It's great to be part of the FaithWriters family
You had a few editing problems search instead of searched, Lamb needs an apostrophe. But these can be fixed.
Your love and passion for the Lord really shines through in this piece. Good job keep writing as the Lord guides you.

I heard this story of (a) man who went to the Library.
I'm certain this will improve as you continue writing and I hope to see more from you.
