OKAY—LISTEN UP—ATTENTION!
Stop your fussing--there’s work to be done!
Now everyone in your places,
Our story--has already begun.
There seems to be a little confusion
As to what each--is responsible for.
I insist! We expunge such delusion
This discussion is hence a closed door.
[?]
Excuse me Sir; may I ask a question?
In what project are we to partake?
Is this a story of Castles and Bastions?
How many novels will this one now make?
****
I just knew that from you, questions would fly
There’s no doubt, it’s what you do best.
If it’s not who, how or when, it’s where, what or why
Though this is your function, you can be a pest.
[!]
Oh I can’t wait! I’m just so excited!
Magnificent! Stupendous! Isn’t this Grand!
I’m bursting with Joy! Absolutely delighted!
So Titillating! Electrifying! Strike up the band!
****
Must you always be so dramatic--every word a shout?
I realize that you’re easily flustered.
When your services I require, trust me I’ll cry-out!
Yes, without you life is dull, you do add a certain luster.
[;]
You know I’ve been with you forever; this is where I belong.
These two types of clauses, independent and internal,
Without my intervention, they could never get along.
So I hope there’s still a place for me in this newest journal.
****
Of course my friend, your services will no doubt be in need.
I understand completely the important role you play,
And your faithfulness to my progress, I appreciate indeed.
Now take your place, do not fret, and don’t get in the way.
[,]
Well I’m very much aware, of the separation that I bring.
Spending so much time, with words, phrases, dates, and such.
I generally can be found, where their listed like a string,
And I’m aware that the others say you use me far too much.
****
[Mr. C]
Pardon me Master, how much more will you endure?
If you allow them all, their opinions to proclaim,
The ink within the pen you hold will dissipate for sure.
After all they simply punctuate, they have no claim to fame!
All right Mr. C you’ve had your say, I hear you loud and clear,
We each one do appreciate a tiny dash of recognition
They only seek to be assured that I will keep them near.
I’m the Pistol who’s in control; you’re just the ammunition.
****
Well Sir, the words you pen, yes from your hand do flow.
May I humbly Sir--remind you, punctuation has its place
Oh, but lest Creative juices are released to freely grow,
Then punctuation marks are useless; with this I rest my case.
****
Mr. C, rest assured of your title you are worthy.
Creativity and reverie this duo, most imperative,
Without your contribution I’d be constricted that’s a surety.
Just remember, that without this scribe, you simply could not live!
PERIOD

(You'll learn how to format better as you enter more. I had trouble at first, too.)
For the formatting--in the massage boards, you use brackets, but for challenge submissions, you use the < and > keys.
I totally "got" this despite the formatting glitches, and I found it highly amusing.
