I was one of many world tour sweepstakes winners. Initial prize, was a huge set of luggage, which I would be able to fill, providing I adhered to the regulations.
Upon arrival at the terminal, the CEO of sweepstakes operations was there to greet everyone for orientation. An unforgettable event. I felt at the time, that the world was my oyster.
Mr.D.Evil offered a jovial smile, as our representative, speaking convincingly of the highlights of our trip, making it seem like a thrilling adventure.
This was the beginning of our world tour. As the years rolled by, the luggage began to fill. Loaded with souviners collected from friends, and family, and my own personal necessities. Eventually, I could pass them to my children.
Speaking of children, they were welcome aboard. I added items to their luggage, as well as my own. Whining and crying, they were often bitter and resentful creatures that did as they pleased. They never missed a TV dinner, I can say that.
I began feeling depressed, and worn thin. I had used and been used. "That seems fair doesn't it?" was my motto. We carried our luggage ourselves, and it became heavier and heavier. I had packed alcohol, drugs and paraphernalia, cigarettes, money of course, but it was the luggage that no one else saw, that was the heaviest of all. That of guilt and shame.
There were pictures reminding me of the multitude of men and women that I had traveled with. Those which I had partied with, had sexual encounters and relationships with.
Pictures of bruises when I was battered by someone that professed his love for me. I married the guy. "What's his name?..He lost his temper accidentally."
The kids never mention the long gone step-daddy. I should have believed them the first time.
What's his name number two said, "the kids were making it up just to make him look bad." I was upset when my daughter was knocked up at 13 and I was going to enter grand-motherhood. She would never speak of her own "What's his name? The baby's biological father." We can only speculate.
Amidst all these wonderful attractions, many contracted venereal disease, and I could almost see cancer on the horizon. Who could pinpoint the origination or when exactly? So no determining where or who. Why worry? Just blame it on "What's his/her name? That's only fair, isn't it?"
We were all playing by the rules. I would load up my luggage with an endless supply of anti-biotics, and other drugs, just in case.
I wondered, "Are we there yet?" I wasn't even aware of where we were heading. Couldn't be hell, we were already there, hating this journey, hating myself for being born to it. Mr.D.Evil had deceived us, we weren't winners, we were all losing.
Which reminded me of the man that didn't get on the bus, and refused to sign on with the world tour. Wonder how "What's his name? Oh yeah..Jesus made out."
He convinced a multitude to follow him, since I last heard, one of which was my youngest. I haven't seen her for quite awhile, or the grand baby. She must be very happy to have stayed away so long. She left all her luggage behind, and I take it with me.
One of his followers gave me a book that He authored to check out. I thought it was a self-help book that I never took the time to read. "What was it called? The Holy Bible?"
I have it here in my luggage. I will just set this junk down here for awhile, and start reading. What have I been missing out on? "Hmm..salvation? Love? Eternal life, forgiveness? a relationship with Jesus Christ. Can't seem to forget that name. Wow, this is awesome and it's free!"
"Oh yeah!, I don't need to take any of this luggage with me, Jesus loves me just as I am...Good-bye Mr.D.Evil!"

This is a part fictional story about an un-saved person..without Christ Jesus or without knowing him. As the first person, I wanted to stay true to the real charactor and thoughts and feelings. As to your comment I agree, but it was meant to be what to Christians would be offensive, and worldly.
This is reality today. The woman didn't know any better, as many of us didn't before Jesus came into our lives. (BC--Before Christ) None of us were born Christ like. We must be born again.
Thank you for your comments though--I appreciate.
God bless ya, littlelight
