"May we never miss those divine appointments that God has set up for us."

I wonder how many I have missed?

Love the message and the reminder in this touching piece. Well done.

Loved this true to life story - wouldn't be surprised if it's your true story. Thank you very much for sharing this. Enjoyed! Colin
Great use of dialog - in fact you could eliminate much of the 2nd paragraph; it just "tells" the reader what you go on to "show" in the dialog. You story made me want to keep reading - lots of tension building up to a very happy ending. Good job!

Wow! It's a true gift to have a story build and bring tears to the reader's eyes at a revealing time. Wonderful writing.

Being a grandma,I related. Well written, with helpful info as well.
Thank God for nurses who care!

When my dad's blood sugars were first tested, they were off the charts. He was almost at comotose stage.

I would agree that launching right into the action in the second paragraph would have gone great because of the dialog between mother and daughter.

This story hit home, glad for the happy ending. Keep writing!
