It is at this time of the year that my husband and I love to walk along the river banks and see the reflection of the above colors in the water. To see these colors as they ripple with the water going over rocks is like looking at a twisting ribbon that seems to twist and then straighten out again creating a picture in the still parts of the stream.
The sky over head not to be out done, reflects it colors of blue, and the white from the clouds complete the picture. As we find a place to sit and watch, I am calmed by the color of blue, and the yellows, gold, orange, and reds give me a feeling of joy.
In this picture, I see an occasional fish jump up from the water, and as it falls back in I watch as the picture begins to spread out in the still part of the stream. With my husband by my side, we walk slowly back to our car.
The day is complete, the Lord has given us a reason for joy, and we drive slowly home not wanting to even say anything to each other to break this peace.
