“Look into The Light”, I said, as her fingers began to turn cold.
“For that is where the Lord is dear, and many other souls.”
Your mom, your dad and sisters too, and your brother (who is my dad)…
My loving Aunt was dying; she did not want me to be sad.
Then the Lord’s Prayer I gently spoke, into her dying ear,
I laid my head on her shoulder, and sobbed with heartfelt tears.
I know she was going into The Light, I saw the reflection on her face,
A smile of joy upon her lips, her hands reaching for that Holy Heavenly Place.
I did not know how I could make it, in the darkness she left behind,
But the Lord would fill me with His Grace, and come for me too in His time.
Someday we would all be together, in Heaven with Jesus our Lord,
And His Light would shine over the darkness forever, and ever more.
