A cold, cruel war is raging furiously around the weary warrior of God. Everywhere she looks there is destruction and despair. The enemy is closing in with vehement force. With a blood-chilling scowl he ridicules her maliciously. Tormented and frozen with fear she drops to her knees in defeat. The ruthless enemy looms over her about to devour her like a hungry lion. Suddenly a blazing, blinding , bright light shines all around. Looking up she sees her Savior illumined in all His glory standing between her and the wicked enemy. Unable to stand in the magnificent presence of the Mighty Messiah the enemy flees. Smiling down at her with unconditional love and mercy He gently speaks to her. “My precious child, do not be afraid. I have already defeated the enemy for you when I shed My blood on the cross. I took the torment, ridicule and cruel death for you. Through my death and resurrection I have redeemed you and set you free. You are my child and I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hot tears of gratitude rolls down her face and her heart burns with overwhelming thankfulness. She knows her rescue is undeserved but given freely with amazing sacrifice and love. The warrior, the grateful child of God bows her head to her merciful, awesome Savior’s feet and worships Him.
