WAKE UP CALL

In Southern Spain I worked as a school nurse serving Navy children on a military base. I lived off base in the small community of Fuentebravia. Being tired after work I sometimes would take a nap. If I slept for 15 minutes I would be very rested and still sleep well at night. If I didn’t get up after 15 minutes and napped an hour or so I then had difficulty sleeping at night. One afternoon I arranged some pillows and laid down on my living room floor and said, “Lord, please wake me up in 15 minutes.”
I fell into a deep sleep. At exactly 15 minutes the doorbell rang and I jumped up. It was Sister Edith an elderly English nun from the Old Folks Home in Puerto De Santa Maria, making her monthly rounds asking for donations. I gave her a $20.00 bill and laughed at God’s sense of humor for the cost of His wake up call.

God surely does have a sense of humor!

This would make a great full-length story...think about it!
