“Christmas Day is coming soon.
We really can’t delay.
Keep our eyes on You this season;
Dear God we truly pray.
Shopping lists become shiny gifts.
With ease we commercialize
the Holy Day of You our God.
We cause your patient sighs.
Steer our hearts back to Your Truth.
There’s a message to proclaim:
You came to give the gift of life,
Eternal hope in Jesus’ name.
Help us spread news near and far…
Your Truth within a card.
You came to cleanse our crimson sins,
and in place of us were marred.
Make us take the time Dear God
to think of everyone.
All of those who need a card
to hear of Heaven won.”
So Christmas cards about our lives
are nice and merits too.
But Christ lived a perfect life
and gave it for me and you.
Why not boast about His life?
Go on about His love.
Because no other gift this Christmas
surpasses that above!
