You’re working so hard, we’re sending this card with a message to remember.
You’re wound up so tight making everything right from August through December.
To the children’s surprise as the joy fills their eyes are sugar-plums in their dreams,
But the rich foods and cookies and cakes baked by rookies will make your pants burst at the seams!
Shopping and wrapping, and retailers clapping, and sleigh bells all making their noise
Will all go away as the light fades to gray and the quiet night falls over the toys.
But in all your preparing and red-and-green wearing you mustn’t forget the reason
We have all these lights and present delights each year in our Christmas season
The Lord came to earth through a miracle birth to save us all from our sin
He was born in a manger owned by a stranger; for there was no room at the inn.
The first Christmas morn when the baby was born, we angels shared the story
With trumpets and song, we sang loud and long spreading the news of God’s glory
When you’re rushing around making magic abound for others at Christmas this year
Remember, take part and take it to heart, God loves you and He is right here.
