There is a sound I long to hear, sweet music it will be
To these old earth-bound finite ears when glorified and free
Songs of earth just won’t compare to those sung ‘round the throne
Once I’m encamped at Jesus’ feet to worship with the throng
The angels, saints, and the redeemed will harmonize and blend
The day I hear the Song of songs complete – and without end
In heaven voices from the north will meet south, east and west
And make one mighty chorus – worship at its best
“Blessing, honor, glory and power,” we’ll sing unto the Lamb
“Wisdom and riches, honor and strength unto the great I AM!
The angels, saints and the redeemed will harmonize and blend
The day I hear the Song of songs complete – and without end
I’ll camp beside the crystal sea at emerald rainbow’s end
And sing with elders robed in white, gold crowns upon their heads
“Worthy, worthy is the Lamb who died upon the tree
Who took my sins upon Himself, then rose to set me free”
The angels, saints and the redeemed will harmonize and blend…
The day I hear the Song of songs complete – AND WITHOUT END!
