I don't remember too many of the details of that day, but here are a few of the highlights.
There was a lady who lost her husband. She looked like she was at least 70. I expected her to be upset, but I was surprised how strong she was. That surprised me because the lady we visited prior cried
one man we visited was in a wheel chair. He appeared to be at least 85 years old. His family was gathered around him. One of his relatives gave us money. We tried to tell them this is not about money, but they insisted that we take the cash. Our song leader gave it to our pastor to be put in the general fund.
The people welcomed us into their homes, and some of them would sing, and others would mouth the words. It was fun to talk to them and find out about there lives
The day went a little longer than I would have liked it to, but for me this was a mountain top experience. It was well worth the time that I spent making a difference, and giving them the joy of Christmas.
