That is an example of the problem that I have had lately. I don't want to blame my bad memory on old age, because I am in my forties. I think the blame should be put on stress.
Other examples include occasionally forgetting to take my cholerestoral pill before a meal or I just forget to bring one with me when I go out to eat. I am always forgetting to make a few personal business phone calls when I have down time at work then. I am always forgetting things like butter when I am at the grocery store.
I don't know why stress is the cause of my memory problems. It may be because I am a perfectionist. I had learning disabilities when I was in grade school, so in my mind I need to make up for that by not forgetting. . The other factor may be that if I forget, and make a mistake, I feel that I will not be loved any more.
I am a two Bible single person; I have my car bible and my home bible. The thing I worry about is that someday I may loose my car Bible. My car bible I bring with me to church and to work. It is a NCV version (New Century Version) I like it because the English is easy to understand. There is not to many compact NCV bibles out there. I also took the case that my car manuals were in and made it into a bible cover for this precious bible.
My prayer is that I start to remember things better and stop forgetting.
