We’re like two puppies bounding off together, no agenda in mind, getting into trouble, trying not to get caught this time.
Like a dog with a bone, treasured secrets we shall bury. We’ll dig them up again together, reminisce and be merry.
And then when we’re old and grey, with grandchildren on our knees, we’ll spin a web of mischief and send them home to thee. Reminiscing of the good ole days, never a single regret. Laughing at the antics our grandchildren are now about. “Now where did they get that idea?” we will innocently ask. Oh the fun just never ends with cousins as best friends!
High up on the Ferris wheel, around and around we’ll go, where we’ll stop, only heaven knows.
