“You coming to bed soon,” she asked, poking her head around the corner.
“In a minute,” he said, looking up at her with a lopsided grin, “I need a snack first.”
Blowing him a kiss she turned and he heard the bedroom door close.
Though the weatherman said it was a cool fifty-six degrees outside, inside it felt stuffy and this only added to his feeling of unrest.
Dragging himself off the couch he walked to the kitchen. Digging in the fridge netted him exactly nothing so, closing the door he turned to the pantry. Nothing there either. He needed some sort of snack but nothing sounded good.
As he was about to give up a thought occurred to him: milk! A cold glass of milk would be real nice about now, he thought triumphantly, and poured himself a tall glass full. He then decided to step outside for some fresh air.
A cool breeze brought quick relief from the heavy air of the house. Crystalline star light stood in stark contrast to the velvety black sky and the crisp air seemed to accentuate the star’s gem-like appearance. Though vast distances separated the stars from him, he could not help but think them close; as though he could reach out and touch them one by one.
It was such a vivid picture of God’s creative work, the wonder of it overwhelmed his heart and he worshipped, and as he worshipped the day and its troubles melted away in the glory of God’s beauty.
The day, when viewed through God’s eyes as he was now, seemed more distant than the stars above, faded like, and tomorrow…who knew what tomorrow would bring, but for now peace and calm ruled the moment.
A final swallow and the milk was gone along with the unrest.
Who knew that a glass of milk and a starry sky could bring him so close to God? He truly is a God of peace.

If you skipped a line between paragraphs (indents don't show up in this format) it would help the reader's eyes. Also, I thought there were a few places where you needed extra punctuation, but this is very good.
