The queen went calmly, boldly, yet reverently, into her husband’s throne room. She and her friends had been fasting and praying knowing that she could easily be rewarded death for this. The king accepted his favored one tenderly. He would give her anything to half his kingdom. She gently drew near. They spoke of a dinner together soon.
Queen Esther was eventually instrumental in saving the lives of the Jewish people beginning with this step of bravery into the forbidden throne room. She also became more cherished and dear to her husband. She had trusted the man who raised her, Mordecai, when he advised her to go in. She trusted the Lord enough to fast and pray for that moment.
We are His favored ones. Our Lord longs to dine with us. He is knocking at our hearts door. He receives us with tenderness. We only need to draw near.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 KJV

I felt it needed to be expanded, and would have kept with the story of Esther only, without the added commentary. Make the story our own! How would she have felt? What were her surroundings? Give us the details, and make it your own story and you've got a winner!
Keep writing!
