Something that Can Cause an Undesirable Result

How often do we come close to getting angry about something or with someone? Oftentimes, it doesn’t take much to “rattle our chain” as the saying goes, does it. I think children are the most vulnerable when it comes to experiencing the wrath of others. They are defenseless, helpless, and powerless when it comes to being able to protect one’s self from this wrath.

We hear often of sad situations and incidents in the news media about these precious little ones? Their circumstances cause our hearts to cry out over their mistreatment. Most of these small children can’t even talk and tell the story of what happened to them at the hands of someone’s anger.

I realize we don’t hear all the stories and see all of the pictures either, but what I do see is enough to cause my heart to cry out in distress and sorrow. How can we put an end to, and stop this unnecessary anger that damages beyond what we can imagine?

The Holy Bible King James Version, Psalm 37:8, Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

When we find ourselves getting to the point of letting our anger take over a situation, that’s the time to step away before it escalates into an undesirable result. I am reminded of the “Fruits of the Spirit” in The Holy Bible King James Version, Galatians 5:22-23. The word “temperance” comes to mind. The presence of God in our lives gives us the self-control to handle these kinds of situations. He enables us to cease from, and abandon anger that causes us to do things that are not a reflection of him.

Your article shows the bad effects of anger, especially as it affects the most vulnerable - children. I agree we need to have enough self-control to prevent our anger from causing unnecessary damage.

Great advice, especially in learning to control the anger that is projected toward children.
