There it is. The peace I've been waiting for. I'm smiling. I feel as though I'm soaring over the world, my problems, my duties, my life. I've entered a plain where nothing matters but how my heart is feeling. This beautiful blessing of music that God has given the world is something I marvel at. Music is one of my favorite things He's given to me. Music itself, not just lyrics, moves my soul. I seem to connect somehow with all types of music. Since birth, I have been exposed to music and have always enjoyed singing. It was not uncommon in my house growing up to have many voices singing songs, even ones completey made up. This habit of making up words to songs and constantly singing has carried over into my mothering. I prayed for God to bless my daughters with a love for music. I have played music for them, sang to them, danced with them, shared my joy with them through music. I especially enjoy making up songs about anything and everything. While, only 3 and 23 months, both my girls will dance and sing whenever they can. The oldest has also been blessed with the ability to make up songs herself. They are a joy to hear. And I know that it is music to my God's ears.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14 - NIV 1984
