Topic: Sewing (02/22/07)
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Fabrics are all assembled
And laid out upon the cutting board
Combining the right shade, side by side
And all those different designs
How is the final piece going to be?

Little by little, patiently with
Threads and needle, stitched and pieced,
Many long hours of patience and work
Taking care and attention to detail
Until finally, each piece are joined together.

A display of beautiful fabrics and tapestries
With delicate stitches and designs
One large piece of work
Shaped and fashioned
From so many separate, distinct and small

It is the working of God,
He has started from nothing,
His very own hand has sewn my life together.
Putting all the intricate parts into one.

He is the tailor, no small detail left undone
He could see the finished masterpiece
From the beginning, for He knew me before time,
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
I am complete,
Sewn by the Master’s hand.

As He can only do,
He knows me
He sees me
He holds my heart in His hands
I am forever being put together,
His masterpiece.

This gave me a neat encouragement from God as I read about how the process takes time, done with so much love. How impatient I get when I want Him to answer things right now. If He answered me my way, the product would not be a quality piece. Your writing led me to that thinking, and it's solid writing! Good job.
