I never use to read. I was encouraged to read "Wild At Heart" by my pastor, due to some family issues, and enjoyed two good chapters before putting it down. I went to pick it up A year later and didn't realize what was happening till the lights started to blur and I heard myself backwardly attempting to reach the infamous one, all the way from one hundred. I was prepped and ready for surgery. It was here I gave the warning, to those closest to me, that I was going to dive into the most painful nooks I had chosen to leave undiscovered. "I might be a jerk sometimes because this is going to stir up things inside me. I will do my best not to take it out on you, but if you think it will be to much for you, do what you have to do."
From that point, every moment of reading I encounter, pieces of my heart seem to bleed. But something beautiful has happened. Paragraphs and phrases that use to only cut and remove, now act as the gentle hand that dresses my wound. Recovery is on-going, but it's going. As painful as it is to lie on that operating table, It's worth every drop of blood. My Life will never be the same now that I've found the best surgeon in the world!
