This new nation would be something special. It would be a land where poor folk had hope of a new life. It would be a land where men, women, and children could come and find a place of refuge when they could no longer live in their own homelands. Most of all, this new nation would be a place where men could call upon His name unafraid.
Oh, God knew that things would not be perfect in this new land. Things would happen there of which He would not approve. The imperfection on Earth made this a certainty. Even so, I think that God knew that this nation would be a good idea. Many good things would happen within her boundaries and many good folk would be born on her soil. Many men and women called by God’s name would dwell there and lead others to His embrace. It would be, despite its imperfection, a good land; and it would be called the United States of America.
And so, I think that God finished His drawing of this new nation and began to set forth His plans for its birth. It would take many years. Many things would have to happen for this land to be born, but it would happen. The land that God drew would come to be and stand as a place where His light would shine.
