In the day when there was no rain, and the sun shone brightly hour by hour, a small forest dweller named Human-Child walked without fear of the woods to the house of Teacher.
The sun warmed Human-Child’s skin; the smell of pine permeated the air, and she was happy as she approached the place of learning, for she loved wisdom and feared God.
Two friends of health were passed as she walked close to her destination. One was Wormwood; the other was that of the apple tree.
She gathered Wormwood for herb tea, which Teacher would drink by the end of the day, and Apple was for the little girls time of hunger.
Human-Child had not realized that she mistakenly picked up the home of another forest dweller, which was using Apple as it’s home.
As she walked up the wooden steps to the house of learning, Teacher was there to greet Human-Child with a smile and a loving caress of her long blond hair.
Human-Child was holding Wormwood in her hand, and raised it as an offering to Teacher who took it and gave thanks to Human-Child.
Apple was carried into the house and set on a shelf to be enjoyed by her later in the day.
There were no others that gathered with her to share in the wisdom of learning.
She had not known the joy of other small humans and had no knowledge of loneliness.
This was a treasured time between the two who shared the pleasure of their earthly domain, a time shortly after the great fall of her father Adam, and her mother Eve.
It was the time between the forfeit of the place called Earth, which had been dominated by her father Adam, and the time when God’s Son Jesus, would need to redeem the Earth back to God, by the spilling of His precious blood.
It was a time before she had sisters, a time before her mother and father had their first Man-Child, and a time and a story that was swept away… by time itself.
Teacher was a comfort to the child throughout the day as they shared with one another.
During the time of hunger Teacher made a cup of tea, while the child reached for Apple.
As she brought Apple to her mouth she heard a very small voice speak in a nervous, shaky tone.
“Please don’t eat me out of house and home!” the voice wailed.
Human-Child held her hands over her ears being startled and dropped Apple.
Teacher ran swiftly on all fours to catch Human-Child’s food before it hit the wooden floor.
He gently snatched Apple by the core stem in mid air and set it ever so carefully on a table.
“What are you?” asked Human-Child.
The answer she received was not at all what she expected.
I am Offspring, son of Snake, here to rule that which is mine by default of Adam, father of all the names of earths forest dwellers.
Human-Child watched with eyes wide open as son of Snake made his way out of Apple, and coiled himself in front of Human-Child.
Offspring yawned widely just before he started to speak in hissing tones.
