I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river in my soul
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river in my soul

I never knew what they meant when they sang about peace
Until one day Praise God! that peace of God happened to me
I was walking the wrong way living in the sickness of sin
Then I met a man who loved me and taught me about Him

I've heard it said and I've heard it sung
I've got joy like a fountain
I've got joy like a fountain
I've got joy like a fountain in my soul
I've got joy like a fountain
I've got joy like a fountain
I've got joy like a fountain in my soul

I never knew what they meant when they sang about joy
Until I received that joy unspeakable full of glory!
I was walking the wrong way living in the sickness of sin
Then I met a man who loved me and taught me about Him

I've heard it said and I've heard it sung
I've got love like an ocean
I've got love like an ocean
I've got love like an ocean in my soul
I've got love like an ocean
I've got love like an ocean
I've got love like an ocean in my soul


I never knew what they meant when they sang about love
Until I received the gift of the Holy Ghost from above!
I was walking the wrong way living in the sickness of sin
Then I met a man who loved me and taught me about Him

But now--

Now the song's going to be stuck in my head all evening...not a bad thing. ;)
Nice point, and I like the way you added your personal touch to a well-loved song.
It might be a style issue, but I think some kind of punctuation could help at the ends of your lines.
