I know my Lord’s wonderful voice,
So I turned off the radio and rolled down the windows
and listened with my heart and soul and rejoiced.
The sounds that I began to hear
was a beautiful melody,
composed from up in heaven,
from Jesus just for me.
The Katydids loudly played the tambourines,
the crickets chirped to keep the beat;
then I heard what sounded like violins,
was the buzzing of the bees.
The drumming of the pouring rain;
the trumpet of a swan,
a song created by a croaking toad,
just before the dawn.
I started thinking of all the music
that there was in nature;
from the pounding waves of the mighty ocean
to the silence of a night so pure.
A choir could sing with one mighty voice
but it could not compare,
to the sweet sounding chorus
of the many birds of the air.
If all of nature that God created
performed for just a night,
it would sound just like a symphony
and to all who heard the melody
their spirits they would excite.
So take a walk with the Lord one night
and listen with delight,
God’s angels have sent you an invitation
to hear a little bit of what it will sound like in heaven.
