”I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Gideon’s International)
When in our deepest valley, we are instructed in scripture to look-up to the hills, for that’s where our help will come from. There’s help, comfort and deliverance just in simple obedience, which is evidence our faith is in action. We’ve all had valley experiences when things seemly are in disarray, due to an accident, illness, family problems, job loss, or whatever it might be. The time will come when we will need support from others: whether from family, friends, Co-worker or from our church, for a loving touch telling us we can make it. Going into someone else’s valley is difficult, howbeit,we are to help bear the burdens of others when at their weakest moments, for our loving hands will be able to help guide them out of their troubles. And yes, Jesus looks down in all of our valleys, not to put us down, not to leave us there; but He's waiting for an opportunity to lead us out. So, if by chance you are in a valley-so-low, please know that I am here to encourage you to lift up your eyes, look to them-there hills, because help is on the way..smile!
